can you count correctly as the core mechanic is such a quietly unsettling hook fifty steps and three endings makes it feel like the counting is the whole horror. quick one is it literally just counting the steps, or does the number of steps change depending on something you do?
No, counting is not the core mechanic and neither does it depend on choices, but the core concept here is that by just choosing different routes to discover different secrets of the stairs along with different endings.
ohh gotcha!! that actually makes the stairs feel even more mysterious i love when a game lets u uncover different secrets depending on the route u take! are the different endings connected to specific secrets u discover along the way?
